Goodstart Early Learning Blackwood

Such a fantastic Centre! I'd visited a number of centres in the Southern Hills for my nine month old, and Goodstart Blackwood was a clear cut above the rest. I'm not sure how much of it was due to their not-for-profit status, which is a rarity in the childcare world (something I hadn't previously realised) vs their own practices, but their quality and standards seemed much better than most others I'd looked into. My positive opinion of the Centre has only strengthened in the 13 months since my child started attending. The administration team are responsive and helpful, the educators are warm and caring, staffing is extremely consistent (little-to-no turnover), the facilities and food are excellent, and staff show a real commitment to the learning and development of the kids. The educators and staff work closely with parents to ensure each child's needs and developmental goals are met, while prioritising social and emotional well-being. Nursery Room staff helped us establish consistent sleep routines, drop naps, transition from bottles to solids, and deal with tantrums. They couldn't do this if they didn't know and form attachments with the kids, though, and this is what really shines through. The educators are all very responsive to the kids and the kids seem to genuinely love them. My toddler has formed close bonds with her educators and often speaks about them in their absence (Nursery 1 leader, Jabin, is a particular favourite!). She's always happy to see everyone at drop-off, and is always having a great time whenever I pick her. It's such a relief to drop my child off in the morning and know she'll be safe, nurtured, supported, and happy all day! It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that Goodstart Blackwood has been a godsend for us, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others. Do yourself a favour and send your child to this centre; you won't regret it!
