About Little Star FDC Scheme - NSW
The Little Star Family Day Care (FDC) Scheme provides high-quality, home-based early childhood education and care within the community. As a “Meeting” rating service under the National Quality Framework (NQF), the scheme ensures that children are cared for in safe, nurturing, and educational environments while supporting the professional development of its registered educators.
The coordination unit is responsible for recruiting, registering, and monitoring educators, providing ongoing guidance and supervision, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, including the NSW Child Safe Standards. It also facilitates communication between families, educators, and regulatory authorities, coordinates enrolments and placements, and supports quality improvement initiatives. Through these functions, Little Star FDC Scheme ensures that children receive safe, engaging, and high-quality care, while families and educators are well-supported and informed.
